CVS Armed Robbery – Kill Devil Hills

Suspect at Pharmacy recovering note

Suspect enteringOn Friday, May 27, 2011, the CVS Pharmacy in Kill Devil Hills was robbed by a lone white male armed with a handgun.

At approximately 10:42 a.m. the male entered the store and proceeded directly to the pharmacy.  He handed the pharmacist on duty a note demanding Oxycodone 10, and also verbalized the demand.  Oxycodone is an opioid analgesic medication for pain management.  It has a heroin-like addiction potential and there is a potential for a fatal overdose if taken improperly.  Oxycodone 10 is a short-acting form of Oxycodone that is more rapidly absorbed into the body.

The suspect is a white male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5’8″ and 170 lbs.  He has brownish/blond hair, cut short and did not have any scars, marks, or tattoos visible on his arms, legs, or neck.  He was wearing a dark visor with a triangle logo, a brown striped shirt, camouflage pattern cargo shorts, and black tennis shoes with dark socks.  He displayed a black handgun to the pharmacist, unknown make or Suspect at Pharmacy 2model.

After leaving the store, the suspect headed east, in the direction of NC 12.  Officers were on scene moments after receiving the 911 call and an immediate search of the area was conducted by Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Dare County Sheriff’s officers.  Anyone who can help identify this individual is eligible for a reward up to $1000.

ENHANCED REWARD

In addition to the reward through Crime Line, RxPatrol has offered a reward of $2,500 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
